There is Here
A blessing for the wanderers
If you’re in the mood for an auditory experience, I’ve included a recorded version of the piece for your listening pleasure!
The road is bumpy,
My heart is jumpy.
The road is winding,
The future is blinding.
Where are we going?
I hate not knowing.
The road goes on forever,
Should I just get off wherever?
I fear we’ll never get there,
Can you think of anything more unfair?
“Over here” hummed the hummingbird as the tree shook,
“Don’t see, look.”
“Psst” whispered the blossom on the cactus looking so melodramatic,
“There is so much beauty and magic.”
I stop and look,
All the wonder around me needs to be captured in a book.
On the distant horizon,
Something blue flies in.
“My dear” bellowed the ocean over the crisp air,
“You asked me will we ever get there.”
“Come closer, I have a secret to share.”
“Have no fear,
For there is here.”
